Extra Information about VFC tryouts:
VFC tryouts registration is $100. This is a separate fee from tuition.
VFC tuition has a payment schedule in your contract.
There is a $500 deposit due on the first night of tryouts, along with your VFC Contracts (above).
Contracts will be available on vfcolonials.com prior to tryouts. You cannot turn in contracts early.
Tryouts will last 3 consecutive days. Second and third days, groups/times will be posted each day by noon on vfcolonials.com. The first day is by birth year as noted below.
(Mites are 2 days and all come at the same time, both days)
You will have 24 hours post-team announcements to back-out of your contract, with deposit returned.
Please have contracts and payment ready on the first night of tryouts. This will help us process everyone more quickly. Please have yourself registered in the new database before tryouts as this will hold your player up from getting on the ice.

Most common questions:

Why are tryouts during Spring Break?
Since Spring Break is different for all school districts, it is impossible for the AAHA (our Hockey District) to announce the first days of allowable tryouts to match everyone’s schedule. They do try to help by announcing the dates back in November (which was then forwarded to you via Teamsnap). Tryouts are 48 hours after Nationals is completed and last about a month. It is bound to hit someone’s Spring Break.

What if I am injured and cannot attend tryouts?
If you are injured or on vacation during your tryouts-contract, you are still expected to sign up for tryouts and hand-in a contract. We cannot place anyone on a team without their contract and deposit. Please note that it is always in your best interest to be in attendance for tryouts to ensure the best team placement for your player.

Do you have what it takes to be a billet family?

It takes special people to open their homes and hearts to our players and we take the utmost care to ensure our players are placed in environments that are conductive to care, understanding and safety.
